Rhinoplasty in Albania: What to Expect From Consultation to Recovery

Rhinoplasty — commonly called a nose job — is the most-requested procedure in our network, and for good reason: it's a precise, highly technical surgery where training and artistry matter more than tools. Done well, it subtly balances the face. Done poorly, it's obvious for life.

Here's what your journey looks like with us.

Before you travel

The online consultation

You send us photos (front, profile left, profile right, three-quarter, basal), and a short description of what bothers you and what you'd like to change. We do not ask for medical records yet.

Within 24 hours your case is reviewed by at least one surgeon. You'll receive:

  • Honest feedback on what's realistically achievable
  • A recommendation of technique (open vs closed, primary vs revision)
  • A fixed all-inclusive quote
  • Suggested travel dates

The video consult

Optional, but almost everyone takes it up. You speak directly with your surgeon for 20–30 minutes, ask everything, and — crucially — look at them in the eye before booking.

In Albania

Day 1 — Arrival & assessment

Airport pickup, hotel check-in, and an afternoon consultation at the clinic. The surgeon examines your nose in detail, takes measurements, and walks through the exact plan — sometimes with simulation software. Pre-op blood work, ECG and anaesthesia review are completed the same day.

Day 2 — Surgery

Admission at 7–8am. Surgery itself takes 2–4 hours depending on complexity. You'll spend a few hours in recovery, then most patients are discharged the same evening with a nurse checking in that night at your hotel.

Days 3–7 — Early recovery

You'll have a cast (splint) on your nose, mild bruising around the eyes, and internal splints for the first week. Day 7 is cast-removal day — a small ritual moment when most patients first see the new shape. A final check-up follows, then fitness-to-fly clearance.

Recovery timeline at a glance

  • Week 1 — Cast removed. Bruising fades quickly. Back at a desk job immediately after.
  • Week 2 — 70% of initial swelling gone. Concealer handles the rest. Social life resumes.
  • Week 3–4 — Visible swelling is minimal. No contact sports or glasses on bridge yet.
  • Month 3 — The nose looks essentially normal to others. You can still feel subtle residual swelling.
  • Month 6 — 90% of swelling resolved. Shape refines further.
  • Month 12 — Final result. Scar tissue has fully matured.

Rhinoplasty is the slowest procedure to settle — the result you see at 3 months is not the final one. Patience is part of the deal.

Techniques our surgeons use

  • Open rhinoplasty — a tiny incision across the columella for full visibility. The gold standard for anything complex: deviated septums, humps with tip work, asymmetry, revisions.
  • Closed rhinoplasty — incisions entirely inside the nostrils. Used for minor tip refinements and straightforward hump reductions where the scaffolding doesn't need rebuilding.
  • Preservation rhinoplasty — the modern trend of preserving, rather than removing, native bone and cartilage. Excellent for natural-looking dorsal reductions.
  • Ethnic rhinoplasty — specific techniques for African, Middle Eastern or East Asian noses to preserve ethnic character.

Your surgeon chooses the technique based on your anatomy, not the other way round.

Costs

All-inclusive rhinoplasty packages start at €2,200. Revision rhinoplasty is typically €3,000–€3,800 depending on complexity. Add flights (typically €150–€350) and you're done.

The same surgery in London costs £5,500–£9,000; in Germany €5,500–€8,000.

Aftercare when you're home

  • Video check-in at week 2, month 1, month 3, month 6, month 12
  • WhatsApp access to your coordinator throughout
  • Minor revisions within 12 months, if needed, covered at no additional surgery cost

If you've been thinking about rhinoplasty for a while — whether that's months or years — send us your photos. An honest opinion is free and takes us 24 hours to deliver.
